Which factory overclocked GTX 460 to get?

Looking to upgrade my aging HD 4850 in one of my gaming rigs and have been looking at the Asus Top edition of the GTX 460 for a while now. I've noticed there are a handful of other manufacturers making there own factory overclocked card. The biggest issue I've noticed with these cards is stock availability and increase in power draw. I do plan on upgrading the rigs current Corsair CX400 to a 650W in a few weeks. My biggest concern for the card is heat/noise and the ability to give me at least 3 years of pew pew life .

My budget is basically around $250 and plan on gaming at 1920x1080 (dont care much for AA, just want maximum FPS at high-max quality in starcraft 2/BF2:BC).

If you wait about two weeks, you can either grab Barts XT for that pricepoint or you can enjoy much lower gtx460 prices, with savings going towards a better PSU.

I like MSI gtx460s.

There is a new AMD card comming out on the 25th of Oct with avalability in November.
It will be announced in about 3 weeks, but none of this is confirmed.

Barts XT = HD 6770? Is this faster than the HD 5870? Btw I'm getting the Corsair 650W free (someone else is paying for it).

The MSI Hawk card looks nice, but I've just had horrible luck with MSI products in the past ><. Bad to no customer support on RMA's and products failing within 2-3 months ><.

If you want to buy a 460 now, take a look at the ones using that dual fan accelero cooler. They run at full load with like mid-40's temperatures which is a clean 20-25 degrees less than the reference cooled cards.

IMO they are amazing, and If I were looking at a 460 with ultimate overclocking headroom, I'd consider one of these cool running cards:

While a little noisier than some (but not by much) the ASUS DirectCU cooler is quite capable. I'd just get the "non-TOP" model and OC it myself and save the $15. From what I understand none of them are binned so they should all reach the same level of OC, more or less. That is if you want to avoid MSI products for whatever reason. Otherwise, I'd get the Hawk now that its down to $239 with a $10 rebate.

Actually, join Mwave's little "club" (doesn't cost anything - just signs you up for emails), get a Hawk for $230 and then use the $10 MIR. $220 for one isn't too shabby.

Gigabyte GTX 460 1GB for $200 after MIR with $20 off SC2 (unless you have it already) or MSI Cyclone 1GB also for ~ $205.

It makes little sense to get $250 GTX460s considering you can overclock the cards yourself; and plus hD6770 will ship within 1 month at around ~$250, likely closer to GTX470/5870 in performance. So if you want to spend $250, you may want to see what it brings to the table.
