which exam is easier of the two A+ Certification exams?

I'm pretty sure i could pass the exam with only a lil studying but i don't want to be too cocky. Which is the easier of the two exams (Core or Dos/Windows)? I just want to like take one of the exams first so i can see how hard they are...

I am going to be taking the exam myself soon. I would like to know has well. Also, I here it is wise to take the two exams on differnet days.
 
uh i took the new adaptives, finished both together in less than 5 mins, didn't know alot of stuff bout the laser printers, oh hears my scores,
core: pass 445, i got 481
dos windows 465, i got 590, wish i could retake, i have since clarified my understanding much better
 
unless they've changed the test to include win2k, and modern processors adul, trust me you'll blow it out of the water!!!
 
My question is how much is the difference between the old test & the new one that took effect this month? I bought a prep book for the old test, read all 900+ pages over a two week period, & then didn't get a chance to take the test before the advent of the new one. Do I need to get a new one that covers the 2K portion, or figure I can probably do well enough to pass it?

viper... you can take the old exam till march 30th. It has a overlap period.

My only concern is ... is the old a+ now no good.. Or since its so entry level does it not matter to a employer?
 
Cool, then I'll go take it.

The only reason I want it is there are some classes that my employer offers for free that require A+ as a pre-requisiste. And I don't particularly feel like sitting through a 3 month class to let them teach me stuff I already know.

I took the adaptive test in October and the hardware portion was much easier although it didn't take me any more than a 1/2 hour to do both. On February 1 you can start taking the new test that gets rid of Windows 3.11 and includes Windows 2000 I think. For information on it go to Comptia's website
 
man, i forgot to take the adaptive test, just for the price break 🙂 i know it is basic crap, but it looks good to ppl who don't really know, a source of proof i would call it.

my parents HAD offered, but the way my dad says it, he offers, but when the time comes to pay, he will just shove it away... blah..
