How could that even be possible? My Squire Strat plays wonderful for only costing 175$(was the floor model).

I didn't know that he's already been playing a while, just skimmed through the thread.

If he's looking for something decent and not just beginner, I also recommend ESP.. coupled with a Boss MetalZone, even the little 15W Crate can rock.
