Which DVD player appl do you recommend?

I just bought a laptop with a DVDrom. Which DVD player application do you recommend?

I got PowerDVD with my GF3 and it works well, but i prefer the InterActual Player. For some reason my DVD's sound louder and better with this than with PDVD.

i agree. ive used powerdvd and whenever there is a scene with fire in it, the fire looks really pixelly and 16bitish. Windvd looks a lot better picture wise.

also, think about what sorta sound setup u have and features each software has/doesnt have.

when u've decided, try getting an OEM copy from an online etailer like newegg. they sell powerdvd for $6. or, just try a search engine like pricewatch.

The TV Out support on this is brilliant If you have your display mirrored to TV, then when you fire up WinDVD, it can put the video full screen on the TV, and so long as the player isn't minimised (it can be behind other windows) on the main monitor then it will still run fine, without any hickups
