Which DVD Drive?

need to get a new dvd drive to replace my busted Toshiba 16x. any rec's on what's the best out right now? otherwise i'll just stick with the toshiba and get another one

well if i were to go w/ another toshiba 16x, any idea of the best deal w/ it in stock? NewEgg has it for $67 but it's out of stock =/

warning alot of ppl have problem ripping dvd movie with that drive (it can rip only 2x speed)

The new Pioneer 16X is very nice...the 106-S. It is one of the first DVD drives to operate on the ATA66 spec, and it fixes the few problems the first 16X drive had (105-S).

i had the 105s and the only real concern w/ it was that it was the loudest thing i'd ever heard, i swear it outdid my klipsches. is the 106s any better?

the toshiba 16x was dead silent for dvds but screamin' for regular CDs (it does have to spin to hit the 48x).
