Which DSL wireless router brand should I get?

I've heard people seem to like different brands, there doesn't seem to be much of a agreed upon favorite though. I'm leaning toward to the NETGEAR 54Mbps Wireless Router (WGR614) and PC Card for $55 after rebate from newegg. I hope the poll works. I'm looking to spend under about $80 after rebates/shipping and must include a wireless card for my laptop.

All three are pretty good. I have a D-link 614+ and it works great I use a Netgear 802.11 G one all the time and it works great too.

The one thing I like about the D-link is that configuring the router is much easier and it is faster to save settings etc.

Some of the Linksys routers are pretty sweet too. If you get one that has some 3rd party firmware that is the way I would go personally.

They are not DSL routers, pretty much any router I know of will work with either DSL or cable.
Definitely get an 802.11G or super G router.
I like Netgear or D-Link, but I, myself have a Microsoft router and it is fine too.

Motorola offers an excellent 802.11G WiFi Router (WR850G) w/ WPA and a very nice web interface.

get the linksys...it has embedded linux...you have some serious control over it. An especially important feature with the embedded linux is that you can alter the strength of the output if it won't reach parts of your house. (I can't remember what you need to do to access the linux part of the router...i saw it on g4techtv's the screen savers the other day...)

I used to have the DLink 614+. Great B router, but I never was able to get WPA to work on it. Just purchased the Linksys WRT54G. Lots of aftermarket firmware, many many features. So far so good. GP

Get the Linksys WRT54G -- it is AWESOME. Check out the linksys subforum at www.dslreports.com to see what you can do with it.

It has quality of service and more. And you can get it for ~$60 or less.

So does it pretty much just prevent people form hacking my computers via another wireless computer within range of my wirelss router? I really don't see me needing that much but I guess it couldn't hurt.

WEP is easily hackable w/ common freeware available everywhere. WPA is much more secure and it's security can be easily enhanced with proper key management. If you have zero care of security WEP is more than enough to keep people out of your network, but if you have any concerns, WPA has definite advantages. GP

Does anybody have a link to the techtv article on how to hack your linksys. I'm having some output strength issues and would love this.
