When I get the opportunity to try both, I'll give an opinion.
That said, I think you girls are likely to have it harder. We guys don't have to deal with bleeding 4-5 days a month, we don't have to deal with jerks pinching our arse, we will never have to pass an 8-10 pound child through an opening that really shouldn't have to get big enough to allow that, our clothes are easy to find in sizes that fit because they list measurements instead of arcane sizes that are never the same between two manufacturers.
That said, most girls/women don't realise how thoroughly they can mess with a guy's heart and mind even without trying, women can always cry and get whatever they want by doing so, women have a higher tolerance for pain, if a woman has a rough day she can get emotional about it and people don't mock them for it but instead show sympathy, women are free to love babies and be all aflitter about them, and women typically are free-er to have fantasies and simply want a family without worrying about a career and such.
Still, from what I know from being a guy it sure seems as though you women have it harder.

It sucks for both sexes. But I think women wouldn't have such a hard time if they just stopped giving a sh|t what everyone else thinks. Men are definately more selfish than women, women seem to try to make everyone happy. Why bother?
I personally would not want to be a woman. You get fat easier. Highschool = If some one doesn't like you, they attempt to destroy you emotionally and socially. For men, you just get punched in the face, get up and move on. I dunno about you, but I'd rather just fight some one and lose than have to deal with petty backstabbing and behind the back trash talking. I guess I wouldn't make a good woman because I'd just punch that girl in the face and be done with it. 😛
People don't take you as serious some times, particularly men. Case in point: They did a study where men and women went into buy a car. The guy always got the best deal (even with haggling by both of them).
You can't handle your liquor.
Rape. Its scary business. I have to worry about getting mugged and some general stuff, but you have to worry about that on top of it.
As mentioned before, women currently have no clear cut definition of what they should be in society. And many of the things that are defined are conflicting.
There are some crap things for men though.
If you're divorced, ex-wife would have to be a convicted axe murder to have a chance in hell for the guy to get the kids. (Pretty much the entire child based thing is bias towards women.)
All your insurance costs more. Yeah, I think ALL of it does. Life insurance does, health insurance does, car insurance does.
Can't multitask to save your life. I dunno about you, but if the TVs on and the girlfriends talking to me, I do not get to hear EITHER of them. I just get confused. My girlfriend can listen to like 3 things at once and keep them straight.
You don't get any damn privacy in bathrooms. Oh goody, I can pee standing up...in a trough with 12 other guys.
You DO have a clear cut place in society...and if you deviate outside it your are punished. Since it isn't as clear with women, they have much more leeway. A girly man is generally very unattractive to most women. On the other hand, a tough and capable tomboy girl will be found sexy by a decent sized subset of men. You can be sporty, girly, nerdy, smart, stupid...even aggressive or passive, etc and never is your 'womanliness' really called into question. At least, not in the same way as it is when a man deviates from the standard and not by the same proportion of people. In short, men are masters of one thing...whereas women are jack-of-all trades types.
I didn't cover childbirth because no one makes you have kids. And men do die earlier, but those last years suck anyway so who cares?
