All other features being equal, would you rather have a 17" TFT with a max resolution of at 1440x900 or a 16.1" TFT with a max resolution of 1600x1200...
 
If it's on a notebook computer, 1600x1200
If it on a desktop LCD, 1600x1200

All other metrics being equal, I'd like the dot pitch and physical size of the 16.1" 1600x1200.

So, in other words, 1600x1200 no matter what?

Oh, and I meant on a notebook, but I failed to mention that the 17" is 16x9...
