Stop threatening countries that aren't a threat to us. Stop sanctioning countries, which cause poor economies and the deaths of innocent people, as well as further hatred toward our country. Negotiate and trade with countries instead.

I'm not comfortable with that approach, which guarantees that we will do nothing to stop nuclear proliferation. I can only accept such a proposal IF we seal our borders AND combine our missile defense and laser weapons technology.

You have to understand, just as not every man is fit to wield a gun, not every man is fit to control a nuclear weapon. There will be consequences to nuclear proliferation and we must make it as difficult as possible to successfully use it against us. Especially if you intend to let them have it.

All I can tell you is that what we've done over the last 7+ years has been a dismal failure. Personally I would have an open dialogue with each and every adversary we have and I would listen to their grievances to try and understand their mindset. Maybe they do hate us for our freedoms but I have a feeling that's a bunch of bullshit
Iran's grievance is the existence of Israel. Now what do we do?
So you disagree with Henry Kissinger that we should initiate high level talks with Iran without preconditions? Kissinger did recently call for ?high level? talks with Iran starting at the secretary of state level and said, ?I do not believe that we can make conditions.?

I don't know which exact paths we need to take, but I do know the foreign policy issues we need to solve:

1) Completely eliminate our dependency on foreign energy supplies
2) Leave Iraq as a secure democracy
3) Completely eliminate AQ and the Taliban -- all terrorist groups -- wherever they have taken root
4) Prevent Iran from EVER obtaining a nuclear weapon
5) Stop North Korea's nuclear proliferation
6) Eliminate all close ties to tyrants like those in the House of Saud
7) Encourage further economic, and possibly military, alliances with China
8) Prevent the resurgence of Russian authoritative influence around the globe -- encourage more economic ties with Russia.
9) Lift embargoes and sanctions on Cuba to begin their gradual shift toward democracy and capitalism
10) Cut off ALL ties with Venezuela until the people there rise up and replace Chavez -- continue to improve our relations with other South American leaders and nations.

Those are my ideas for what our foreign policy goals should be... how we specifically arrive at each is well beyond my pay grade.

I say we should just tell the rest of the world who holds our debt and owns our companies to fuck off and take it all back.

What are they gunna do?

I think we should stop this, "you're either with us or against us", "good vs. evil" types of classfication of countries/regions/religions, etc.
You have a better idea??

Maybe we should reach out and hold hands and sing song with them instead?
We should Bomb! Bomb! Bomb!

AMERICA! FUCK YEAH!

I think it should be as follows..

- 95% lead by example. Be the adult in the room, act in moderation, set the agenda and build consensus.
- 5% carry a big fucking stick.

Pretty opposite of what it is now. 😛
