Just my 2 cents....

I got in on the OfficeMax Canon A40 deal for $200 + free 64mb CF card.
So far I've taken 800+ pictures and I absolutely love this camera.

Accessories I've since purchased to make the camera complete:
$ 20 - Carry case
$ 50 - 128mb Sandisk cf card + USB reader combo
$ 35 - AA charger + 2*4 packs of rechargeable Energizer batteries (Target B&M)

Total spent so far for accessories & camera = $305 + tax
If you can get in on one of these deals it's an absolute bargain!

What do you guys think for the new Sharp digicam? 227 bucks for a 3MP camera with Canon (G1?) lenses

$12.99 rechargeable batteries with charger
Ok, thanks. Well, my mother is the owner of a new Canon Powershot A40. Woohoo!

You may remember that she wanted a digital camera for Xmas from us kids. My sister went out and bought her a Nikon Coolpix 2000 from Target without consulting anyone first. The Nikon would have been ok, but there is no freaking viewfinder window, which is really stupid because you have to use the LCD all the time. So today Mom and I exchanged it for the Canon A40. :D

We paid the full $249.99, but there's not much you can do when you're limited to a gift exchange. The Nikon was $229.99, so I sprung for the difference.

While at Target, I bought a 4-pack of Energizer "AA" NiMH 1700mAH batteries for $11.99 and an Energizer multi-charger for $9.99. I'll pick up another 4-pack some day.

I haven't tested the A40 all that much, but the viewfinder window is kinda blurry. The glass/plastic is not smudged or anything, its just a little blurry. Still testing...
