with that monitor, you won't be able to utilize the full potential of say... a x1900xt, so you could up to a 7600gt or up to a x1900xt and a high res monitor like a viewsonic vx2025 or dell 20" widescreen. You could also add a gb of RAM, but that's not completely necessary.

Video card if you're a gamer. Otherwise, I'd say sound card or ram depending on what kinda user you are.

A nice sound card would do your set-up alot of justice, gamer of not. like stated already on the 1905 a new card would be laid to waste, but a soundcard would take a load of work from the CPU giving more cycles to other things.

I just got a soundblaster X-Fi platinum and it has made a day/night difference in my gaming performance and just the simple fact that music and movies sound alot better.

Games like GRAW and Oblivion should be played at 12X10 ideally even on a 1900XT.
Get it if you can.
