which ones should i use? there are way too many and i am totally confused. i currently use 6.50, there are 2 newer 6.xxs, there is 7.52 which is (i think) DX8 optimized and some crazy 10.50!!!
what are you using?

It`s best to stick with official drivers like the 6.50 unless you have problems then try the beta drivers, you can try them anyway but remember they are not official.Btw I use the 6.50 drivers which are rock stable on my PC.

🙂

Hey wolf this question will get so many different opinions but I myself have tried just about every single driver in the det 3 line and have settled on the 6.72 more because I see little difference and these are newer. I will check back here to see some other opinions and that will probably start me up on a driver changeing binge untill I finally decide theirs no difference.. hehe

Oh yea I had stability issues with the 6.47,6.49 You may not thats just on my rig

I havn't tried any of the 7.**

Agreed, I have tried most of them pretty extensively with benchmarks. The 7.52's were head and shoulders above the rest in Windows 2000.

I use the 7.17 drivers with some pretty good results.I think the 7.xx drivers utilize directx 8,but I may be wrong.Anywho I like them the best so far.

Peace

Sorry, I can only speak for Windows 2000. Dunno about Win98. I think I've heard that 6.62's are really good for 98, plus they are MS certified. Although the overclocking hack doesn't work on them.

6.18 I am still using

I dont see any major fps/stability improvement in the newer 6.xx, so I am sticking to 6.18 for now
