Do I get:

"Samsung Original 256MB PC2700 DDR Memory"

or

"TwinMOS PC3200 DDR-DIMM 256MB CL2.5"

for my Asus-A7V8X motherboard

They are both the same price and i want to know which is best!
I have heard different things about PC3200 memory and wondered if i should go for it or just stay with PC2700

Just for clarification, do you already have memory in this motherboard? If so, which manufacturer, model etc? In any case, Crucial makes a high quality PC2700 memory module.

Planning on OC?
With the CTL-CB3 Samsung ram you can go all the way up to PC3200 ram OC'ing it.
I dont know much about the twinMOS ram, but in PC3200 ram the corsair is what most ppl are getting. Probably one of the best out there right now.

It depends on what you want the memory to do. Do you plan on overclocking the memory? Do you plan on using very aggressive timings? Do you simply want to ensure stable operation of your computer? For overclocking, PC3200 memory is the way to go. Corsair makes very high quality memory for this purpose. If you want to use aggressive timings, then find some PC2700 CAS2 rated memory. Corsair also makes this kind of memory. Crucial doesn't guarantee CAS2 operation with their PC2700 modules, but the vast vast majority of users can reliably operate their systems with aggressive timings. I have my PC2100 CL2.5 memory operating at the most aggressive timings at 149MHz from Crucial. There are no errors in Memtest86 when running it. For stable operation, Crucial is definitely the way to go. They provide high quality memory at good prices. Plus, I don't know if they still do this, but they used to include 2-day shipping for free.
