So I've got a WRT-54G v2 and a Buffalo WHR-G54S running DD-WRT v23 SP2 in a WDS config and I was thinking about upgrading to v24SP1 just simply to be running the latest and greatest and to fix a couple security holes (http://www.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv3.../24-dd-wrtv24sp1.html). I remember going through this during the initial setup, it's a pain in the ass to figure out what firmware binary I need.
If you go to http://www.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv3/dd-wrt/downloads.html and then browse to v24-sp1/Consumer/Buffalo/WHR-G54s I'm guessing it is dd-wrt.v24_std_generic.bin. I'm totally confused what to get for the WRT-54G. Under v24-sp1/Consumer/Dlink/ there is DIR-330 and -320 with files that at first glance appear to be exactly the same. Is the same dd-wrt.v24_std_generic.bin file what I need for everything?
Really don't want to brick either of these as it was a PITA to get the WDS stuff up and running, need to keep the config through the upgrade without losing any settings.
Any advice?
