I have a Dell XPS 13 and it get pretty warm at the bottom, so not comfortable when having it on your lap.

Main reason i think is it hasn't good cooling: vents at the bottom is not good when having it on your lap. Vents should be at back and or sides.

Was wondering if there are other 13" (or 15") high end laptops that do not become warm at the bottom when having it on your lap?

What about HP Spectre 13"? Others?

Thanks.

Vents on the bottom are intake. If you want a cool laptop then you will need to sacrifice performance. That means a ulv cpu and a 940m, maybe 960m gpu.

High performance notebooks are not designed for laps. Having the bottom unblocked is key to cooling. If you must use your lap, get a tray or a lap desk.
