Which credit cards provide one time use numbers?

How the hell do you find out what the one time use number is?
Umm, doesn't the website generate one when you request for one?

So how would the be any more secure? Your credit card number is still crossing the interweb.

the number generated is only tied to your account number in the card issuers database. plus you must specify the amount that it will be issued for. so even if it is stolen there is no more "credit" to use on it.

The MBNA service is much better than Citibank. It lets you specify the amount and when it expires. You can even have a number that's good for up to (say) $25 per month for 12 months. The CitiBank system just issues a number that expires in like two months.
