I have an opteron 175 that is one turd of an OC'er only goes to 2420 stable. Friend wants to trade me a 4800+ x2 for it, should I? I know the opty is more expensive, but since its such an oc dud it doesnt make sense to keep it does it?
 
The opty is worth more. I wouldn't do it. If you don't like it, I would ebay it, and get something else, while prices are so low.
 
The X2's with 1mb of cache on each core didn't get reduced as much. A 4800+ still costs like $315, down a lot from $500, but the 5000+ is $290...
