Hi, which minimum cpu to best perform with the newest GPU?

will p4-2.8E or A64-2800+ be enough?

If you look at the tests, they are cpu limited in a lot of cases. This means buy the fastest processor possible.

I wouldn't get neither of those CPUs. I would get a A64 3000 for 200 .

If that is too expensive than get a 3.0c Northwood or even 2.8c Northwood and overclock.

You could also always get the 2500+ barton and oc that to 3200+-->3600+ speeds if were talking about ocing and price/performance.

But between the two u mentioned, the 2800. Keep in mind they have NO RETAIL versions of this proc, so ud have to buy a hs+fan combo. If youre going to do that, u might as well get the 3000+A64. I highly reccomend that proc for a somewhat budget minded gamer. (that proc and the suggestion i said above im actually considering myself to upgrade from my oced 1600+ this summer)
