Howdy,

Hoping someone can give me some feedback...

I'm looking at 15.1" and 15.4" low-end notebooks that I will use for business applications (office, web, email). Not wanting to play games or do graphics work.

Looking at Notebooks based on the following CPU's:

1. Intel Pentium Dual-Core Processor T2390
2. AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile Processor TL- 60
3. Intel® Core? 2 Duo T7250 (2.00GHz, 2M L2 Cache, 800Mhz FSB)

I'm going to run XP w/2gigs of memory.

The lowest price notebook has the Pentium Dual Core, The AMD is second cheapest and the Core 2 Duo is the most expensive.

What is the relative performance difference of these CPU's on business applications?

Thanks in advance!

I realize that for my needs, any of these will work.

But what I was really wondering was how these chips stack-up against each other.

For instance, I thought a "dual core pentium" was the same thing as a "core 2 duo" but alas they are not.

And another factor is heat and power ... the lower power the chip, the longer the battery life. But hotter the chip runs, the more fan it takes to cool it which mean shorter battery life.

The faster the bus speed, the better... etc.

Just wanting to get my arms around the differences.

Thanks!
