I'm going to be purchasing a Dell XPS m1210 in the next week or two and am having some trouble deciding on where to buy it - here's my dilemma:
Costco is selling the m1210 with the T5600 processor (1.83GHz & 2MB L2 cache) and an 80GB hard drive. Overall a great deal with a fabulous return policy.
A comparable system from Dell directly is $100 more, however, I could upgrade the processor to a T7200 (2.0 GHz & 4MB L2 cache) - would I notice much difference due to the increased L2 cache? The CPU offered in the Costco is the slowest offered by Dell and I hate to have it be outdated so quickly.
I prefer Costco's return policy, but would appreciate the ability to get a faster CPU and perhaps a larger hard drive. Thoughts?

Costco's return policy is not the same on computers as it is for other electronics. Look into that but I'm pretty sure I read that on their site.

No, it's not the same, but better than any other retailer. They have a 6 month return policy on computers.
"Costco Wholesale's return policy for all desktop and notebook computers is six months from date of purchase. After the six-month return window, all services and technical support will be subject to the remaining manufacturer's warranty, where applicable."

Anyone else care to comment as to whether I'd notice a difference with the extra cache or with a bit more processor speed (enough to make it worth paying a bit more through Dell)?
