The few months I played Legend of Zelda really added up.

NES, n64, ps2 were all bought by parents/brother, but my overall most time spent on a game was final fantasy 8 for the PC. over 85 hours in it.

but console wise, i played the hell out of zelda OoT, super smash bros, mega man 3, and kingdom hearts 1/2.

Only hundreds of hours? I must've spent at least 10,000 hours on games alone, and I wouldn't consider myself a hardcore gamer at all anymore.

Well, seeing how as my parents bought my SNES and the games with it, however up til today, I have spent more time with it than any other console.

However, when it comes to money spent, I have spent the most money with my DS lite and its games.

Ha... Older than you. We had 20+ games for our Atari 2600. The neighbors used to come down to play Asteroids. My mom was the Space Invaders queen. Without even acounting for inflation (which would EASILY make it the most expensive system ever) I'm sure that I've never spent as much since them on a game system.

After that, I became a PC-man and so did most people I knew.

But I did spend a lot of time with my friends' PSOnes/PS2s: almost as much as I did with my SMD2 back in the day.

Timewise, the PS2, i spent more time playing the GTA series more than all other systems combined.

From a pure finance standpoint, I have spent more money on Xbox and equipment than any other console. From a time aspect, Gamecube and Super Smash Bros. Melee defeat all of my previously owned consoles combined.

I'd say SNES for both time and money. My brother and I played an obscene number of hours of Super Mario Kart and Street Fighter II. I think at the peak, we had roughly 50 games. Pretty much every bit of money I got during those years went towards buying more games. Looking back, it was out of control.

well since the gameboy is the only console i ever had, i'll go with that. although it wasn't that expensive. i did spend hours upon hours at my friend's house playing Super Smash Bro. on his N64 and now the mellee version on his gamecube.

PS-2 (most money spent - 2 consoles , all the extra goodies) Vertical stands , remotes , Logitech wireless controllers) Prob. $600 with all of the games and everything.

Gamecube - 2nd place to the PS-2 ...maybe $400
