As if the opinion of someone who paid actual money for a Nissan carries any weight.

I work at the art department's IT at my school. Trust me, even a mac can't idiot-proof most of the professors (artists) in this department.

Get a mac. I have not had to install any drivers for anything. Productivity has increased since i dont play games any more..hehe. . As with any os, make sure you get the patches or just let software update get everything.

I love it. Not having to deal with daily errors or hassles is well worth the extra money. Besides, you really dont have to worry about viruses. There are some, but they are rare.

OSX is VERY nice. I like it a lot, but I still like XP better.

Another problem, ONE FREAKIN MOUSE BUTTON! God, do you know how annoying that is? It'd be better if Apple would allow you to use your Logitech MX700 or something, I need more than one button.

But for digital editting and stuff, Mac > PC. Unless the PC is built for digital editting, like those ones they use @ Pixar.

OSX USES MORE THAN ONE FRIGGIN MOUSE BUTTON.

I am using an intellimouse explorer wireles with mine.

Sorry. i am sick of people saying apple sucks because they only use one button.

You can order it without a mouse if you would rather use your own.

Come over to my place for some hardcore Mac bashing!
Macs will be tossed out of the window, set on fire, stepped on, crushed, compressed, expanded, banged against each other, and shot at!

Since OS 7 you can use mice with multiple buttons, I'm using the MX700 on my powerbook right now ;). The real question is why in the world would they still ship their products with one mouse button.

Probably a Mac is more idiot proof. But Dell has better support mostlikely, and more of us can help you with PC problems if you do run into some.

Just make sure I get some credit out of it!:p

One thing to keep in mind about support though is that when you have a MacHead, you don't usually need as many as with PC's. Where I work(a Mac based environment), we have 1/3 the support positions of a similar sized organization, due to in part how easy Macs are.

PS sniperbob, it's probably because they follow the KISS motto here. With 1 mouse button, the user won't need to get confused between right/left click; there's only 1 click
