Which City do you like/hate most?

Well, I haven't had much opportunity to travel, but...

I love Boston. Been there a few times, and I really liked the vibe.
However, I had an opportunity to visit Taos New Mexico last summer, and WOW! Now I plan to run away out west first chance I get. 🙂

As for cities I hate... Well, I haven't traveled enough to really say. I'm not real crazy about Miami... I lived there for about 6 months and that was about all I could take!

I personally love Chicago, but I live nearby so I'm a tad biased.😉

I also like Vancouver and Osaka.

i like vancouver and montreal...not i'm not a canuck...

i gotta give it up for chicago as well. cuz i'm still here and will prob stay here.

I hate Charleston, SC. Maybe it's nothing imparticular, but I spent part of a year there when my family was having some troubles and didn't enjoy it there at all.

Haven't traveled enough to know where I love...

Here are places I have lived and liked:

San Diego has great Summer weather (I prefer to live in La Jolla) and is nice but getting too crowded (Ditto for San Francisco and ten times worse for parking - across the bay in Marin is choice).

Honolulu is a nice place to live - very compact (actually Oahu's North Shore is awesome and about 40 minutes away), but the driving skills of the inhabitants are horrible. Weather is tropical (perfect December-February) but with a too long and hot Summer.

Rio is beautiful (the girls are AWESOME) but there is paranoia about ones safety.

Dublin is a great city - best beer in the world and a great pub life. No need for a car. Weather is cold and a bit rainy.

London is one of my favorite cities. Expensive.

LA - NOT. But some suburbs are nice and I live near Palm Springs now (awesome Winter).

So, I have come to the conclusion that there is no single best place to live. I am trying to work it so that I can live near Palm Springs in the Winter, work in Hawaii for the Surf/Winter season and live in San Diego in the Summer. And lots of travel in between.

Dallas? Heh, yeah right... I hate driving there... 🙂

Fort Worth is much nicer, and the traffic is a lot lighter...

Dave

In order of important.

Hue, Victoria BC, Chiang-Mai, La Jolla, Merida, Ottawa, Montreal, Singapore - Great Cities.

Mexico City, Taipei, SaiGon - Sucks.

Why do u hate Singapore??

too much sh!t restrictions makes me feels like I am in a 'jail'
-no swearing (man, it is 'illegal' to swear... wtf)
-no throwing away rubbish on streets (if u get caught, u get to sweep the street as a punishment)
-no this no that

really sh!tty place really

i dont even wana keep listing

- you cannot speak such and such language
- you are not suppose to eat some kinda food since they are too 'fat'
- you are not to play mahjog

well you could have been sued for swearing in that place
dont argue that with me
just that you havent been sued doesnt mean anything

I don't know where you get all these 'restrictions' from....

but all of the things mentioned you can do there...

You CAN play mahjong there...
You CAN eat anything you want to there...
You CAN swear as you like....

Just clearing up some notions about the place...
