Which City/Country has the worse beer... and best.

I'm not superbly picky about food, but I can still judge them

But BEER...
I'M VERY particular on WHAT beer I ingest.

Haha, you know, my list on favorite country w/ the best foods is opposite of favorite country w/ the best beer 😛

Countries with the best overall beer IMO:

USA (microbrew only!! I hate the national commercial brands! GRRR. Sam Adams is probably the BEST widely commercialized beer in the US HANDS DOWN).
Germany
Britain/Ireland
Belgium
Philippines (surprised me...)
New Zealand (omfg, there's this one beer that blew me away. Sigh.. I forgot the name).
etc... haha

Countries w/ the worse:
Japan, Korea, Taiwan

Cities I've been to w/ the BEST beer:
SAN DIEGO HANDS DOWN FOREVER (Stone, Karl Strauss, and a huge microbrewing community. Can't be beat. I have YET to find anyplace that even comes remotely close).
Manila (I was surprised!)
Washington DC area (more towards Virginia). <--- wow!!! ARg I forgot names 🙁

Cities I've been to with the worse beer:
Los Angeles (commercial crap hole)
Seoul (I stuck w/ soju instead...Hite? forget it...)
Tokyo/Yokohama (I stuck with sake instead.. the epic arguments btwn kirin vs sapparo vs asahi doesn't phase me)
Taipei (Taiwan Beer has an uncanny ability to taste nearly identical to budweiser; which I hate)
Kaohsiung (nooo microbrew anywhere?!?!?!)
Honolulu (ehhh...)
Miami (commercial crap hole)

French beer is not good.
I've never tried Italian beer. I doubt it would be very good.

Danish beer is good.

Otherwise I agree the countries you noted above

Best... Paps Blue Ribbon

Worse... Guiness

Its not about how the beer tastes, its whether you can stab your beer w/ a pencil and have a hot chica drink.

Kronenebourg 1664 begs to differ.

PBR, the drink of champions

Best beers I've had have been German and English. I don't know what the worst beer is I've had, I guess some sort of American like Bud Light or something.

Best by countries:

England and Germany traditionally, with American microbrews coming on like gangbusters.

Worst by American Cities:

Pittsburg -- Iron City

Baltimore -- Natty Bo.

Milwaukee - Milwaukee's Best (Really? Then go back and try again, please.)

Worst Beer Trend:

Light "Beer". What's next? Cigarettes with filters??? 😛

Oregon has Rogue so win!

Canada has some pretty good beer, but I have to give the nod to Belgium for overall greatness.

This is an impossible question to answer unless you answer by style.

IPA - California (Stone, Bear Republic, Sierra Nevada)
Stout - Great Britain (Guinness, Murphys)
Wheat - Germany (Erdinger)
Oktoberfest - Germany (Spaten)
Belgian Abby - Belgium (Chimay)
Trippel - Missouri (Boulevard)

This could go on forever.

FAIL! They don't have an IPA that can compete with West Coast IPAs. But they probably have the best Belgian ales.

They don't make IPAs because they don't need to 😛. (And I don't really like them 😉) Their ales are unarguably the overall best though.

I agree on the IPA, but overall in my experience, they have the most delicious beers. I like beer from many countries, especially US microbrews, but overall, it's all Belgium.

You must not have ever really visited Denver then. Denver has more microbrews than anywhere else in this country...or maybe it's more beer production per capita...whichever. There's so much great beer here it's ridiculous. Probably also why Denver was rated the country's drunkest city.

seriously....ridiculous

edit: Plus we have the Great American Beer Festival...more ridiculousness

If you think Guinness is the best stout, then you haven't had good stout. Guinness is the Budweiser of that beer style. It's a marketing whore, fairly bland beer, that you can pretty much find anywhere. Not to say I won't drink it, but it's by no means the gold standard of it's class.

Was it Monteith's? That's the only decent beer that country produces, even though Speights is alright it's fails in comparison to American beer which I think makes the best beer.

There are 10's of thousands(totally pulled from ass for affect!) of microbrews. That makes it damn near possible for most of us to even begin to know. Mass produced comparisons are possible though, but then again who cares? All that matters is which Beers are Good.

Korea has bad beer? WTF??????

They're the Irish of Asia. I believe their running water is actually made of beer.

Try Hite, OB Lager, & Cass. They're all great beers!
