Hi All

I'm Looking for a low budget system. Not an overclocker. Decided to go for A64 3500+ S939. Planning to use Geforce 6600GT - PCIe preferrably but AGP will be fine as well.

The mobo options available to me at the moment are ECS entry level boards
NFORCE4-A939 (NF4 not Ultra)
RX480-A (ATI RX480)
KV2 (K8T800Pro)

I hunted for comparitive Chipset articles but couldn't seem to find any for these chipsets.
Which do you think I should go for?

Thanks a stack in advance for your inputs.

I have an A8V Deluxe with the VIA chipset and it runs great.

I would seriously not buy an ECS board at all. Get an Asus or Abit or Epox.

ECS boards are not made very well and are crappy.

When I first started working at the company I work for they used ECS boards in 30 machines for an office against my objections. Every single board failed and had to be replaced within 1-2 years...some sooner.

Thanks OdiN

Appreciate your feedback. I can get Asus or Gigabyte as well which I believe are good motherboards.

Any thoughts on pairing a Geforce graphics card specifically with Nvidia Chipset rather than any other, for better performance, or will performance be fairly consistent over the different chipsets?

I just stumbled upon a different supplier that can provide ASUS A8N-E board, or Gigabyte K8N51GMF. I'm thinking the Asus is probably the better one to go with. Your thoughts?

Just shocking that I almost went for an ECS where I could get ASUS/Gigabyte for the same price . . . .
