amount of money... has to do with your experience.
not necessarily your certifications.
most people think that once you get the certs... you'll get the $$..
but it's really not the case.
mcse has a greater demand than ccna...
but i guess in general, ccna is valued higher... 'cause there are so many paper mcse's

CCNA'S are a dime a dozen. W2K MCSE's are in demand. the next wave of server from Microsoft is the .NET family, which is nothing more than a service pak upgrade for W2K server and XML usage. You can get CCNA certified,(and I do recommend it) with minimal study and brain power. But ultimatlely I would recommend you get MSCE or MCDBA, both can be obtained by taking 7 exams. Those two microsoft certs can open many more doors for you, albeit, Cisco certs are a definate benifit. Go for the highest you can achieve in the shortest period of time with the least amount of resources to get the best return on your investment. When you look at it that way, the MCSE will get you more, faster. CCNA just lets you configure a router. MCSE lets you configure a network. Much more demanding and need there. Cisco routers, once set up, rarely need anymore attention, unless you work in enterprize level or for a large ISP, like ATT or WorldCom or something. And then they want CCNE.
