So, I'm stuck in a rut here.

I can get both of these free with a contract renewal through Amazon. I'm looking for a phone that has good phone quality, decent camera, and has the ability to play music if I choose to. I'm also looking for something very small, something that could fit in my pocket and not bulge out. It also needs to be very sturdy, last quite awhile.

Who's had experience with either of these phones? What does everyone think? Comments, suggestions, recommendations?

Edit: Added poll!!
Edit 2: Added in w810i!!!

I'm pretty satisfied with my D807. I might get a MicroSD to get more music on it. Which reminds me, the phone is a bit picky. You can't use a music file larger than 600kb (or something in that range) as a ringtone (I have no idea why). And the volume is a little low. The signal is really good where I live, don't know if it's the phone or just Cingular having real good coverage.

It looks nice if that's what you're going for. I can't really comment on the SLVR. I would recommend the D807, but hey, maybe the SLVR is way better.

Thanks for the tips. Do you think that the sliding mechanism will ever wear out? You think it may be easily broken?

Just curious but where did you find these prices for a contract renewal at Amazon. All I can find is for a new customer signing up.

THanks!

You can select a new contract or upgrade existing contract. You need to read the terms to qualify though.

have the d807 through the same deal you're looking at. So far so good, been about 2 weeks. the sliding mechanism seems to be very sturdy.

I have two friends with SLVR's and they're on their 2nd and 3rd ones already.

I would go with the d807 or SE W810

I've dropped it once, and it's still running without any problems. The slider seems real sturdy, the whole unit just feels strong.

i have a slvr and have absolutely no problems with it, but i have also used the d807 and liked both, but i would choose the slvr if the main purpose of the phone is for music, if you like taking pictures then get the samsung

I forgot to mention, the mp3 player on the D807 sucks. You can't even fast-forward on a song. You can skip it, but that's it.

get the w810i. 50 more but worth it. btw great music player on the 810, easy external memory card slot, great cam that you wont find anywhere else right now (2mp) with Autofocus. comes with usb cord, headphones... great package all around. Also sony is known to have a very nice gui, much better than moto. its a close call in that department with the samsung, both are nice. cingular version comes with 128mb card, not much, but more than what you will get with the d807.

personally wouldnt even think about the moto, and the samsung is nice if you want that voice dialing you dont have to teach. but i think the sony is still the best phone. I know its not in your poll but it needs to be !

but all 3 of these phones lack stereo bluetooth. if you want that step up to the 3125!
