Which case ?

Just for clarification, the case I decide on will contain:

E8600
Asus Rampage Formula
4-gig G-Skill
850 watt OCZ
4870

And I will be ordering today. So I better make my mind up pretty quick.

I assume you're planning on adding a second 4870 based on your motherboard and PSU. If so, why not just get a P45 motherboard and a 4870x2 and save yourself some money? If not, step the PSU and motherboard down.

The E8600 also really does not justify its price premium over the E8500. Paying 50% more for a 5% speed bump is not smart in my book.

Edit: And yes, I realize you weren't asking those questions.

Thanks for the response DSF.

Concerning the power supply, it is listed because I already have it. It is the one that came from my RMA.

And yea, the thing is, I want the *option* of Crossfire down the road, and didnt want to be limited in the dual modes. Whereas the X48 is not. But, is Crossfire even really needed knowing how fast GPU's are now ? More than likely not. So the P45 will probably be fine.

I also agree with you on the E8500. Since it is *almost* $100 less  Only difference is a 10x mulitpler to a 9.5x.

Well, there is a dvd burner, cd burner and probably going to be about 2-3 harddrives. And several case fans as well.

If you decide on the Lian-Li, I'd look into a 1010b rather than the 1000b. The 1010b is the updated version of the 1000b, and the main differnce is the MB is mounted in the more traditional mannor, and of course a few other neat little fixes and additions here and there.

I like the 1000b because I like the idea of the hardware being *upside down* ?

And there is also a custom window I can purchase for it from Xoxide or PerformancePC's.

Remember that some heatpipe heatsinks are unidirectional and may not work well or at all in the inverted position. Be sure before committing to a purchase.

I sort of like some of the new Chieftec towers that recently appeared on the Egg.

.bh.

The cooler I am wanting to use in this, is the Asus Silent Knight. But ill be damned if I can find anyone running these two items together.
