I'm in the process of upgrading my desktops at home because my laptop is faster than my desktop so I've stopped using it for anything except for burning cd/dvds.

I'm very cheap and was suprised to see two cool looking cases on newegg with free shipping.

Aspire X-Dreamer II(Black) ATX Mid - $59

<a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-156-135&amp;depa=0">Raidmax Black 10-bay case ATX - $49
</a>

Which one would you guys get?

I actually prefer a cat case, but last time I tried to order one, it was out of stock.

I really don't like either of them. Get a black AMS G-Mono, for a sleeker look than that Aspire.

Raidmax. I hate the cases with those circle crap LCD things in the front panel.

Just spend a few extra bucks and get an Antec Sonota.

Whisper quiet and a dream to build a system with.

I actually picked out that same Aspire for my uncle's new system. The PS on it supposedly blows goats though from what I've heard from (everyone).

Unless you already have a good power supply, get the Sonata. The Sonata comes with a reliable Antec PS instead of some generic PS that will explode, killing your entire family.

That's more than a "few bucks" extra.

not realy when you look at the included PSU, unless she was planning on useing the stock PSU's of the other two cases (not recomended but doable) then it probably comes out to about the same.

A case will be one of the longest lasting parts of a system(assuming mobo standards don't change soon). The Sonata is a very sturdy case, with a tried and true PS with a great rail system for the ide devices.

I've cheaped out on cases before and regretted it immediately. Cheap plastic bezeled cases break easy and don't hold up well...especially if you are carting it around to lan parties often.

The $40 is worth the added fit and finish in my mind. Besides, $40 on an $800 system is only 5% of the total price.

so you want to be a nerd and rice up lights?

anyways, I like both cases, the blue one a bit more. I guess it comes down to whether you like Blue or Red. any case, I pick the blue one.
