Also another sorta dumb question, if I don't have a fan controller, what speed do the fans run at? Max? Min?

First question I would ask is which motherboard are you getting (or already have), and is it standard ATX-sized, or EATX?

I've heard Chenming is a good brand. By any chance, did you find the modded case at Coolcases.com?

n/m -looking at their site, it seems they don't carry that brand. must have been thinking of Chenbro...

Cool site, but a bit confusing. Actually I found the case at www.frozencpu.com. Not as modded as coolcases does it, but good enough for me. The price is a bit high though, but what can I expect, ya know?

then why are you going for a dually system? you should get a faster cpu, which will be far better then dual xeons for gaming. heck, if you go dually, you might as well go opterons for that that are much better hten xeons at gaming. dual cpu's does not mean double the performance. it just means you can multi-task more. a single 2ghz cpu will perform better then a dually 2.0ghz xeon in 99.9% of games out there.

These Silverstone cases are really starting to annoy me... it looks like CRAP, both inside and out... so busy inside, and look at the fan grills.. it looks like a $30 case.

Mikey: I am getting dual Opteron. And yes, I know that a single processor gets more game performance, but I'm also going to be multitasking (gaming while ripping, burning, listening, skyping) and I know that a CPU running a game alone will run better than a CPU running all those programs at once.

AntiStatic: Nice case, but Lian-Li is a bit expensive for me. I can get about the same stuff from the Antec priced at half as much.

Craig: Yeah I talked to a fried about the Berserker, both agreed that it looked like crap.

Yeah I looked at the Xaser III case (not the Lanfire, which is too small for me), and it's a really nice case BUT...

- The good colors are made of steel, only the silver one is aluminum, and the silver one costs like 180 bucks

- No PSU. Trying to cut my budget and it's not helping.

- Only 80mm fans. There's like 7 of them, which is ok since you don't have to use all of them but 80mm fans can be quite loud in order to provide the adequate cooling I need for two CPUs.

- Price. Although the steel ones with a PSU cost about 140 bucks, they weigh in at about 16 kg. The silver aluminum one costs a whopping 180 bucks withOUT the PSU.

So I decided not to go with this one.

until you fry your video card

WTF are you talking about?

I use a Lian Li V1200 and have a 6800 ultra. Running under load at 57.

Thats with it overclocked AND no modifications to cooling with the case.

I don't know! My friend was showing me a bunch of Xasers trying to get me to like em, and I found one I liked!!!!!

But I'm not getting it though so it's cool :)

Anyway how is the Lian-Li P-65 or the Kingwin KT-424?

you get a lot for the money with the KT-424. slide out mobo tray, great cooling, rubber grommets and a classic coolermaster/lian-li look.
