No love for the old stuff? Hanna-Barbera toons like the Jetsons, Magilla Gorilla.... And not a single mention of the all time lamest Star Trek- the cartoon. The Hair Bear Bunch, Gulliver and the Liliputions. Argh..... Old man is old I guess :(

Old school cartoons - Looney Toons, Tom & Jerry, Woody Woodpecker, etc.

I was thinking the other day - some studies have shown that listening to classical music as a child results in an increase in IQ later on. I've concluded that the lack of classical music in more modern cartoons is the reason for the drop in common sense. Think about it - when was it that they had to start rescaling the SAT exam to make it easier? Right at the end of the generation that grew up watching cartoons with classical music.

star trek cartoon? when was that on?

Sat. mornings in the early 70's Had a lot of the original cast doing the voices too. They used scripts that either were too expensive or didn't make it on the 60's TV show :)

Anyway, if we go THAT far back, I also miss Speed Buggy, Wheelie and the Chopper Bunch, Johnny Sokko and his Flying Robot (KICKED ASS!!!!), Ultraman, Battle of the Planets....I could go on and on :)

Wacky Racers & Laff-O-Lympics, I think one, or both are on Boomerang but we don't get that channel. Same with Hong Kong Phooey.

Woody Woodpecker had probably the the highest ratio of sexual and drug references per show that any other, but my favorite was the old old Popeyes. You can tell the old old ones by the ending credits which showed the credits over crossed quill pens. The hand drawn 3 dimensionality was so labor intensive it didn't even make it past the 40s.

Thundercats
Voltron
TMNT
Transformers

Wow. You and I have a similar taste! I was gonna post those four along with:

Saber Rider (always wanted to see a fight between Ramrod and Voltron)
Silver Hawks (space-faring version of Thunder Cats)
Tiger Sharks (marine version of Thunder Cats)
Denver the Last Dinosaur
Superman (the original series, he was so much stronger than the later, wimpier version)
