Which Card?!

Ok yeah im about to buy a new PC and was wondering weather or not to get the 9800GT as oppose to the 9600GT, Both 512mb, the 9800GT costs $40 more and was wondering if it was really worth it, ive heard it runs smoother and produces less heat, thats really not helpful to me but what i wanna know is whats the difference like on:

Resolution 1680 x 1050

Is it a noticeable difference

Yes, it's significantly faster at that resolution.

You'd be better off getting a 4850 which can be had for around the same price, and performs better.

yea they both cost +/- $150 but the 9800GT is just a die shrink of the 8800GT with a few minor added features. other than that they are quite similar, with the main difference being the small increase in performance ovet the 8800GT

HD4850 roughly the same price and performs better. HD4850 will run anything at 1680x1050, except maybe Crysis and you can even turn on AA in some games.

4850 will let you run AA in almost any game at 1680x1050. It is significantly faster than 9800gt. now, you can get a new 8800gt for ~ $100 these days, and that card is still quite a bit faster than a 9600gt.

For the record its a choice of them two so reccomending what other ones are good wont do me any good!
