I'm using a SilverStone SG05 case and am looking to upgrade from my GTS250.

The board I'm using is a Zotac GF9300-G-E mITX. I need to be able to continue using the onboard GPU (a GeForce 9300).

I'm running Windows 7 Pro. x64.

These are the two cards I'm looking at:

HIS HD5770

GalaxyTech GTX260+ Razor
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814162045

I'm limited to these because I need that second PCI slot bracket in my SG05 for a USB bracket (four ports to USB Headers). With the HD5770, I believe I'd still be w/in the SG05's included PSU's load limit. With the GTX260, I'd have to upgrade to SilverStone's 450W SFX PSU for the SG05/SG06 and I'd have to cut out a little bit of the case for the card to fit.

Right now, the HD5770 is the front-runner, BUT:

Can both ATI CCC and Nvidia Forceware be installed and used simultaneously in Windows 7 (so I can run the onboard 9300 GPU AND the HD5770 simultaneously)?

Looking at the head-on pictures at Newegg it looks like this HD5770 might actually be three slots thick while the GTX260 takes just one slot. More than two slots thick and it won't fit in the SG05.

So, anyone have any thoughts, recommendations?

GTX 260s are 10.5" long. Are you sure that will fit inside the case? Newegg's page for the case says it supports cards up to 9" long, but the case is 10.8" long so longer cards might fit.

You should take some measurements.

Also, need to check power supply. The 260 needs 2 6pin and the 5770 only needs one 6pin, the 260 runs hotter.. Benchmarks show the 260 ahead of the 5770, I have had both, not at same time so I can't say if the 5770 is wider or not. I know I had to remove extra HD cage in my mid tower case to fit the 260 to accommodate the length.

Out of curiosity, why do you need to be able to run the onboard? I see you have 2 monitors in your sig but the 5770 can easily do that alone. Is there another reason?

I wish you guys would actually read my post.

The SG05 has to be modded. I mentioned that I would have to cut the front of the case for the GTX260 to fit. It's a very easy mod and has been shown by a number of people on other forums

I know I'd need a new PSU. I mentioned that if I went with the GTX260 I'd need to upgrade to SilverStone's more powerful PSU for the SG05/SG06.

The PCIe video card is for my Dell U2410 and Dell G2410. The onboard 9300 is for my LCD TV (media center purposes).

Yeah that Club3D card is nice, but I don't see any reputable store in the US carrying Club3D cards. Also, the HIS card I linked to also has a single slot bracket like that Club3D one.

I say wait. The card you want doesn't exist yet. The 5770 is s sweet card, I got mine when they first came out for $150 and FS, for the right amount of money but at 19x resolution I can't see what games have come out recently that would take advantage of the 5770 if you were happy with the GTS 250 before.

I would just wait and hope for either a slimmer 5850 card or an aftermarket cooler to be released for it.

Also if/when you do upgrade to an ATI card you should be able to run that U2410 off the display port, your G2410 off the DVI and your TV off of the HDMI without issue. Might make your life a tiny bit easier with all your screens on one card.
