A AOpen GeForce2 MX AGP ($99 + shipping) or a VooDoo3 3000 PCI ($80 from OD B&M). Both cards are brand new retail. I don't game, so 3d is not necessary. I just need "good" 2d and "decent" 3d. All I do is surf the net, burn cd's, download mp3's and a little image editing and scanning. So which card would you reccomend? Also if you have better solutions, please feel free to post them. I need to get answers in a day or two. Got a new system just sitting here with no video card. Wanna get it up and running by tomorrow. Thanks! :)

I would go with the MX,mainly because you will have good driver support for the future,2D wise my friend has a V3 3000,& to be honest my 2D image with my own MX card in my system is just as good or even better(no flaming guys).I don`t know much about the Aopen Geforce2 MX card so cannot comment on the quality etc in 2D.

BTW the ATi Radeon SDR version might be worth considering, but there have been some Members here disappointed with the quality in the 2d image,I`ve not seen this card so will not comment on the quality, anyway your own eyes are always the best judge.

I'd have to say the MX, for drivers, the dual monitor support, and it's 2D is pretty good too, 3D well it's way better than the v3 :)

In my Opinion, the MX would be great for ya. In 2d and 3d, it is are above average. Plus with the MX, you get future driver support, more options, FSAA, a faster card, and all these neat gizmos.

What about a Matrox G400 or G450? The 3d is obviously not the greatest but it would be fine for what you do.

I was thinking Matrox. But I couldn't find one here in Hawaii, and when you add in shipping from the mainland, it's a b*tch. So no go on the VooDoo3? How about a Creative Annihalator (sp?) MX 32mb DDR. It's $130.00 down here. Is that good? Thanks for the responses. :)

Screw 'em all. Get a GeForce DDR [NO MX] for $100 in the FS/FT Trade.
-OR-
If you can scrounge up $155, you can get a Radeon 64MB.

Never heard of 'em before, but I'm starting too. A 64MB @ $109 is a suhweet deal, I just hope it's not a company in a garage with a product to match.
