i wish i could have put all cards in, poll only lets me put in 10 entries, but if the majority is lower cards, then its just giving me an idea of the trends, no discrimination..

I don't think it is preference of one brand over another, just what can you get for the least money. Right now ATI has the edge in that area.

I got two nvidia cards, but not because I was wanting nvidia. The 8800gts I got from evga when I sent in a bad 7600gt . The quadro was a gift from mental images and so I could beta iray.

I've a GeForce 9600 GT in my primary workstation (see signature)...

Apparently it's only worthy of being lumped in with AGP cards and onboard graphics, ha ha ha! The 9600 GT was a bit of a mistake in that, had I waited a couple of more months, I would have been able to buy the Radeon HD 4850 for less than I spent on the 9600 GT.

(In my MacBook Pro I've one of the ticking timebomb GeForce 8600M GTs )
