C4 ZR-1 seat
what they look like

or

C6

i think, if i wanted a garage queen/random driver, i would buy the ZR-1 as that thing will smash the crap out of most any vehicle, even today.

the C6 on the other hand, would be a nice driver.

plus, the ZR-1 i figure will appreciate in value.

the ZR-1 was a 4 cam, 32 valve V8 in 1989 producing 350 (i belive) hp, and was the fastest production vehicle of its day. by 1995 they had hit 400 hp.

(they are the GOD of corvettes, right up and next to the current z06)

The ZR-1 would be nice......unless something in the engine breaks.

That would suck.

As for a daily driver, I wouldn't mind having a mid-90's C4 w/6-speed, one with an LT4. Good old pushrod power.

yea, thats why you dont drive them ;)

They're good cars, but they're not that good.

I don't know much about cars so I based my choice on looks alone. I picked the ZR-1 because the C6 looks to curvy to me, in a bad way. I don't really care for either style though.

Well, lets take the 30,000 that I would save by going my route and mod the hell out of my STI and then i know that I would win.

And still not be a rolling target for radar guns.

Oh yeah, because STI's with huge ass boy racer wings aren't targets for radar guns :sarcasm;

Can't it be fixed like any other engine.

not a very common engine. i believe only 6k ZR-1's were sold.

26 purple, and 52 teal blue.

It was a limited production quad overhead cam engine (not even actually built by GM, IIRC). Replacement parts are hard (expensive) to come by if you can even find someone who knows how to work on the engine.

I'm not a huge fan of the C4 look, but the ZR1 was hella fast.

Tough choice, but I think I'd take a c6

it's DOHC... never heard of quad overhead cam...

i hope it's not this quad overhead cam...

and AFAIK the exhaust is made of titanium (either this or the ZO6)... and the car costed something upwards of $50k.

In the red section of your first link it says "four overhead camshaft".
