Which car would you prefer ? IS350/G37/TSX/3 Series

It would be a close call between a G37 and a 3'er for me.

the IS and TSX aren't even in the same league.

I have a maxima, and have driven G35s. They feel the same when driven.it

How? the maxmia is FWD and G35 is RWD they have completely different driving dynamics. I have driven both on the street and at the track, the Maxima feels way different. Plus the under steer is annoying lol

The G35 feels much better for sure.

My choice would be the 3 series, but I am a driving enthusiast (the same reason I own two BMWs). Since you are largely concerned about reliability, the Japanese cars would seem to make more sense, and I like the Infinitis the best of the cars you've mentioned.

Almost all production cars understeer. It is a trait auto manufacturers build into cars because it is easier for most drivers to deal with than oversteer.

335i, no contest. Of course, I am biased.

No, you are just Asian.

Seriously, whatever you do, don't get a G35/7. It is the car of choice for Livery Cab drivers here in NYC. They have totally bootlegged the brand.

IS350 - I am neither a 45 year old caucasion women nor am I an 18 year Chinese kid driving his first car (that hong Kong parent bought for him.
G37 - Yes but that engine is just harsh.
TSX - the RSX was a great little car. TSX on the other hand...just dont cut it.
3 Series -
If my plan is to trade it in after 5 years....the BMW over the g37.
If I'm keeping it for 10...the G37.

Well yea, but FWD understeers a butt load more. I can just add some power to correct it 😛

but again, they feel way different when driving.

I like those youtube videos where some knucklehead switches off traction control and kicks the rear end out on his Vette or GTO. It usually happens right before he bins it into a tree or light pole.

LOL - yeah. I should have noticed from the tails. Either way - there are thousands of G37's being used as Taxi's here. I would NEVER consider an Infiniti sedan for a car because of it.

Have you been to Germany? Tons of BMWs and Mercedes are taxis and various menial vehicles.

Anyhow, that's the silliest reason to not consider a car perhaps ever.

In the next year, there will be a new 3-series, Caddilac ATS, and possibly IS. If you don't plan on buying any time soon, why not just table your decision until then.

For what it's worth, if I were buying right now, I'd get a CTS. The design just rubs me the right way. And if I could afford the CTS-V, I'd get that over just about everything else on the market.

the newer CTS doesnt look nearly as bad as the old one, but i agree it is an aquired taste
the V is a fing blast to drive ugly or not

As a G37 driver I would have a CTS-V at the top of any buy list but then it's gets awful close to "might as well buy a f'in GTR" territory.

this is kinda true but its still a pretty big leap from 70ish to 100k

Just means it's durable, comfy, and roomy. Who'd want that in their luxury sedan?

IS350/250: too small for me, every rich college girl in town has one.
G37: best of the four options esp. if you can get a manual w/ 4WD.
TSX: underpowered.
3 Series: see IS250/350
