are you trying to figure out which rental company to avoid?

NO. My parent's were in a wreck last night(a deer hit their Aviator) and my mother wants to rent an Explorer or Expedition while hers is getting fixed. Luckily they were ok. I've owned plenty of Fords, and I've never had an issue with them.

My only question is how does the Explorer maintain its sales numbers? It's overpriced and outclassed, not to mention not reliable over the long term.

The F150 is an excellent truck but I'm not a fan of the ride quality. The 2004 sure is something to look at though.

The Mustang is overpriced and underpowerd in the regular and GT flavors. The GT makes a tremendous amount of noise but fails to deliver a respectable amount of performance IMO. Saleen or Cobra is the only way to go.

Your momma sucks! All of my relatives have had Fords forever and they never had any problems. My Dad had about 8 different Mustang GTs in the early 90s and never had a problem with any of them.

Hmmm... it costs more to fill up my Audi than it did my Explorer.

Enterprise does Fords as well, she's rented both an Explorer and a Taurus when her car was in the body shop...

Sean Hyland and Steeda aren't a way to go either? The Explorer maintains its sales numbers, because it is reliable. Our 98 had 89k miles on it, and the only think that was replaced was the 6 disk changer. My 01 Explorer had 45k on it when I sold it, but I never had an issue other than the fact that I hated the gas mileage. I'm not sure why you have a problem with the F150, because it's ride quality was far better than my Explorer and almost as smooth as many luxury cars I've been in. The Cabin, however, is louder and less ergonomic. Now, the Mustang GT runs high 13's to low 14's, but you aren't just paying for the stock car. There is no car out there with as large an aftermarket as the Cobra and/or GT. You can get ANYTHING for a GT, but most any other car brand has very few options of what you can do. There is constantly new stuff that manufacturers create for the GT/Cobra, and a lot more specialized shops to work on them.

I'm honestly not sure how this thread turned into a love/hate Ford debate. I was simply asking what agency rents out Fords, because that is what my family prefers. I like Ford too, but there is no denying I love my Audi too.

Weird. The locations down here all rent GM, because Enterprise was the first place I looked.

I've got more of a problem with the childish way you spell critical. If you're not a rapper then you should be ashamed of yourself. Actually, either way you should be ashamed of yourself. How old are you? 15, 16 tops?

ride quality in a truck? Do you realize how well these trucks ride considering the solid rear axle with leaf springs? They are remarkable.
