Haha obviously, but that car is in a whole different price range. If you can even manage to get your hands on one, it'll easily run $70K, since the S4 can top out (with all options) at close to $60K.

Nevertheless, I agree wholeheartedly

Although it brings up an interesting question: If you're about to slam $70K into what is ultimately an A4 with a bunch of performance upgrades, why not spend about $15K more and pick up a BMW M5?

In no way is the new RS4 an "A4 with performance upgrades" The style is different, the interior is different, the engine is completely different. Its going to run you over $100k though.

I do agree with the M5 statement. Pick up a nice E39 M5...best sedan ever made.

The BMW. Though I'd take the coupe. I don't need a 4-door, as I'm not 45.

The Lexus looks like a bloated Camry.

I don't like Oriental styling in general...but with all the fanboys on here I thought for sure the Lexus would win by a landslide.

My question is. Why not buy the A4, do the mods yourself and end up with 40k to buy a nice secondary vehicle, boat, 4 snowmobiles, 2 snowmobiles and 2 waverunners, or just 40k to roam the world with.

Why not just spend the 15k more on top of that for a Ferrari or Prosche or Aston Martin.

Those questions could go on forever.

That Lexus is hot! Looks way better than the 3 series.

Having driven the IS350 I can tell you that's the car I'd rather own. It is faster than the BMW and it looks much better.

Lexus FTW!!!

For some reason the IS350 reminds me a bit of a Corolla.

As for which car is better, I believe that the BMW is more fun to drive while the Lexus is more luxurious and it seals off the rest of the world from the experience. At least thats the impression I get. In other words, you can actually feel the power of the engine and the conditions outside of the car in the BMW 3 series while in the Lexus, these things are "soaked up". I think if I were to buy today and had money to do so, I'd get the BMW 3 because I want a fun experience.

Lexus is marginally better looking than the Bimmer. That's not saying much since I think the 3 series is fugly.

But despite that, if I ever could afford one, I'd probably get the 3 series 😛.
