Hi
I know that the Nikons can make an .avi file, but I really dont care about that to much,
although that is neat.

But I am looking to get a 3.3meg digital camera that takes GREAT pictures . I have the
Kodak DC280 (2.0meg) but I would like a newer camera that can do larger print-jobs from my
Epson 880 printer :D:D:D

Thanks for the advice.........

P.S. I did an 'oops' early, I posted this in the "Hot Deals" forum...so forgive me pleeze!
:D:):D:)

How much is your budget?

Here's a side-by-side comparison of all 3 digital cameras.

Here's my pick (in order), assuming price is no object:
1) Nikon Coolpix 990
2) Nikon Coolpix 880
3) Kodak DC4800

Right now you can easily get the Kodak DC4800 for under $400 (after $100 rebate), just visit the Hot Deals forum and search for DC4800 and you'll find plenty of hot deals.

If you want simply the best digital camera then get the Nikon Coolpix 990.

I have a Nikon 990 digital camera and it is awesome! :D

Some friends and me went to the zoo last week in SC and I took some pictures using the Nikon 990. I've uploaded the pictures onto my server..so, that you can see the quality. Pictures.

This is one of my favorite pictures: animal

The pictures on my web was set to basic mode on my Nikon 990.

I just use a 256MB flash card which allow me to take more than 1000 pictures in 1024x768 resolution. It comes with a USB connector and the computer automatically download the pictures.

Gee, don't you guys sleep?

Here's another vote for the 990 (recent price drop makes it a great deal). What I like about it is the fact that you can really hone your photography skills by using the manual settings. Getting an "artistic" shot even with a good digicam takes a bit more effort than with an SLR. Since the digicam film is "free" it's a great way to teach you how to compensate for lighting and play with composition. My SLR shots have really improved after all of my digicam fiddling.

And hey, the Auto mode does an excellent job as well.

One last advantage is the add-on lenses for the Nikon, they're excellent.

Good luck and have fun,
