I'm looking to build a gaming computer on Ibuypower.com and don't know how much I'm going to benefit from getting a E6600 vs a 6400 or 6300. I'm looking at getting 2 gig ddr2-800 ram w/ the MSI p6n 650i SLI-F and the nVidia 8800 320mb GTS.

I have no experience OC'ing and probably won't do anything too crazy in that department throughout the time I own the computer. I've read that Nvidia's GPU's do better w/ better cpu's, but is it worth the extra 100 bucks? I would get the E4300 but ibuypower doesn' have that.

If anyone has any suggestions on what to piece together from ibuypower I'm open ears. I'm not looking to spend more than 1500 though.

Thanks in advance.

You might want to wait a few days until they offer the E6420 and get that instead of the E6400. The E6420 has the 4mb L2 cache like the E6600 but is supposed to be priced around the same as the E6400.

Just a thought.
