i just recently acquired two new cd burners from a deal on FW. i had a yamaha 16x burner, now i just added a verbatim 40x and a cendyne 32x. i burn lots of audio, data, vcds, cough cough dreamcast games etc, and i need a good quality burner that wont give me any crap. i use win xp and nero, if you need to know.

which is the best quality burner, or does it matter anymore (remember when burners didnt work well, or spending 700 on a 2x?)?

thanks for the help in advance!

not too bright openly admitting to "burning dreamcast games."

the mods here do not take lightly to those who openly admit that they participate with warez.

Maybe he just burns his own Dreamcast games for backups. Nothing illegal or immoral about that.

Nothing wrong with backing up a Dreamcast title you have purchased. It is perfectly legal.

Both the Verbatim and Cendyne drives are decent. Keeping either of them is fine, as there is practically a 15 second difference in burn speeds for an 80min CD.
