I loved Chrome's speed but hate its interface.

I hate Firefox laginess in opening websites.

Thank god, I found Pale Moon = Firefx on steroids

what do you guys use?

I was strictly an Opera user for years. I got fed up with some issues I was having. I was already dabbling in Chrome so I continued to use it. I have never really liked Firefox.

My progress was..
IE->Firefox->Safari (had iBook for a while)->Firefox->Opera->Chrome

I hate Chrome the least on Windows, so I use Chrome. In OS X, I use Safari.

Internet Explorer.

Tried Firefox and Opera. Nothing to be impressed about.

Never been impressed with IE even latest version in Win8, infact last time I used it as my main browser was IE3,anyway I use Opera on Ubuntu and my Android tablet, Firefox on Windows 8 ,they are so much more customizable then Chrome,IE and virtually any other browser.

I have tried most of the browsers in the poll but the only one that really fits me and my computing needs is Firefox.

I gave Pale Moon a shot and don't experience much of a difference. I compared both with the same extensions and the difference was meager. Most of the delay loading is no doubt caused by the extensions, and Pale Moon might stack up better against firefox without the extensions, but there aren't really any I'm willing to disable to increase speed on either PM or FF, so I don't benefit switching to PM.

Firefox + Adblock.

Tried Chrome a while ago didn't like it as much as FF. Pages loaded awkwardly/slower it seemed.

IE when I have to, but only then. It has been many versions since it actually responded to user input in a timely fashion. I'd be willing to use it more, if they'd actually make it respond. Why they don't is beyond me. FI, last time I needed to use it, I opened a new window, hit escape (stop), got focus in the address bar, typed in the URL I wanted, hit enter, and...oh, wait, it's still grabbing stuff from this current page load, and is going to keep doing that, then set the address bar contents to the current URL, and ignore that you, the user, actually did something. Grrr.

Non-Chrome Chromes, lately, due to extensions finally getting there. However, font rendering on Windows leaves something to be desired, and there doesn't seem to be a Youtube DL extension, even 3rd-party, that works. Also kind of annoying that their own distribution blocks such extensions.

FF still does the job, and I like the new PDF reader, but I never know when I'll get a connection reset, or it freezing for no good reason. The HW accel is also jerky, and can induce audio glitches, in Windows 7 (not directly a FF bug, but it's an issue, nonetheless). Also, they're still working on fsync() bugs, causing some sites be slow/jerky, instead of scrapping their DB implementation and doing it better (which would probably take less effort, by the time they're done).

Safari for Mac is my favorite. Chrome is faster, but I absolutely hate the interface. Firefox is pretty crappy. I don't get the appeal.

For Mac I use Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Opera in that order when I want a change of pace or a different set of cookies. For Windows, I like Chrome, Firefox, then Internet Explorer.

Why do you say FF is crappy? just curious. It does seem to be kind of slow to start up on a mac i've noticed. Really hope they improve that on all platforms - if others can do it i don't see why not?

Chrome mainly on my server
Chrome on my iPhone
Firefox on my Android
Maxthon on my work computer

I'm going to try this "Pale moon". What is Cyberfox and some of the others you mention?

Avant is another one I use and like, should add that to the poll
