550-650W would be plenty, if not slightly overkill.

Efficiency rating is up to you, the higher up you go the more its going to cost you.

No, all the cables you'll need should be there with the power supply.

Brand.....just stick with a good brand, seasonic, antec, corsair....should note that a lot of power supplies are actually made by other companies.

Im a big fan of the Seasonic X650 gold rated power supply. Gold level certification, extremely quiet, well made and good voltage regulation/ripple supression. They have a 550/560 available also, but its pretty much the same price right now as the 650. Might as well go a little large in case you add something down the road or start overclocking.

If you want to save a little money and still have a decent psu, look at the xfx core edition pro power supplies. 550-650 both have rebates and put them in the sub 75 dollar range and have 5 year warranties. Bronze certification and made by seasonic.

Not always true. Some PSUs don't come with the actual power cord that goes from the computer to the surge strip. I think Antec Neo Eco and Antec EarthWatts are the primary offenders.

Hmmm....I believe I've heard/read that too about the earthwatts. Well, at least the two models I suggested came with the power cord! lol
