I have beening HIS's ATI offering since 9600XT :) and i haven't had a issue with them and the service is pretty awesome.

Powercolor :! is great vendor now days

Sapphire has bad customer support but the best overall better value in peformance vs price

Asus most expensive brand out of them and i will not buy ATI card from asus because its always overpriced compared to other vendor

VisionTek also offers a Lifetime Warranty on their "ATI Based Retail Packaged Xtasy Brand 3D Graphics Accelerators".

So far, VisionTek only offers the XT-X, so it's pretty steep at $649.99. Obviously, the 3-4% (at best) extra 25MHz Core and 50MHz Memory clocks at "stock" speeds aren't woth an extra $100.00. If VisionTek ws offering XTs' I would have gone for one of those, but currently they only offer the XT-X in an X1900XT-X Bundle (XT-X, "Got Xtasy" tee-short, and 128MB USB 2.0 Drive) for $649.99 and FREE SHIPPING. With the taxes and shipping I saved not going with Newegg I got the XT-X "upgrade" for about $20.00. Right now there is a $20.00 discount when ordering the X1900XT-X Bundle Online so teh Bundle is $629.99. Expensive, YES. But PFG when you look at the 7800 GTX 512MB too.

Bottom line is, if you gotta have the fastest and are not an overclocker (like me), and want a Lifetime Warranty you are limited to VisionTek and Power Color for now. Videocards rarely die from normal or slightly OC'ed use where voltage has not been increased, but when you're paying upwards of $500.00 for a videocard I expect more than 1-2 years.

I personally recommend the Sapphire.

Not only do they actually make all the ATI cards, but they usually OC better then the other manufacturers, and perform slightly better too.

Sapphire's cards shouldn't "peform" any better than the competition (stock clocks!). They all use the same PCB, components, and GPU (higher end cards only)

I know in theory they shouldnt, but in reality they do.
Just see Anands X1900 round up.

Sapphires performed better, OC'd better and were slightly quieter then the rest too.
Not sure how they managed it, but cant deny the truth, odd as it may be.

Got the HIS xtx since it had a $60 MIR. And they should all OC pretty good. I think the sapphire in the anand roundup came a bit oc'd already and thats why it performed just a tiny bit
better than the HIS, which of course could also be oc'd to match the sapphire performance. Its not any louder than my gt was either.

Got my HIS in friday and tested it out of the weekend. All i can say is that it rocks. USed ATI Overdrive and it moved the core clock from 621MHz to 689MHz. I moved it down to 675 just to be on the safe side. The memory was also moved up but forgot what to. I can almost get 11000 on 3dmark 05 which i can say is pretty good for one card. As for noise its pretty loud when the computer is turned on (jet engine loud) but after the computer posts then the fan speed is turned down and its fairlly quiet IMO.
