Well I know that its a quite an old socket :p But the thing is that I got these couple of free 1.5 Ghz Intel processors (Socket 423). Now I want to know which motherboards (with DDR) should I get. Since many of you guys might already have such boards, so please help me out. I have seen a few 850 chipset board here, but they are'nt worth it cause of the RIMMS. So, please suggest me some board for DDR solution for 423.

Also, is there a way I can use these processors on a socket 478 motherboard?

I once seen converters for 423 to 478, but I have not looked in a while. I also did not read up on it or any feedback about them. You would be the first I seen.
If they work I think you will be happy with these S478 mobo's

Abit IC7-G
Abit IT7-Max2 v.2
Albatron PX845PEV Pro
Asus P4C800
Asus P4G8X-D

If I find a link for a converter I'll point it out. Also other motherboards seem to do well. The Albatron is the only one I own, but plenty of praises for the other ones seem to flood Anandtech.
