Which better: RADEON 7500 64DDR or PNY Ti4200 64DDR?

7500? Yea the 7500 will out run it

You're crazy! The 7500 is DX7, the Ti4200 is DX8! The Ti4200 has two more pipeline than the Radeon 7500! Not to mention pixel shaders and a butt-load of power.

what would u be doing with ur rig?

I'm thinking of getting 2 of them.

One for my nephew who plays mostly Diablo II,
and one for me for UT2003.

Right now my nephew is using an old RADEON LE. It runs Diablo II just fine, but he needs a new card for his son, so guess who gets the better of the two?

I have to guess that the RADEON 7000 is better than the RADEON LE which I think only has 32MB of SDRAM or maybe DDR-SDRAM.

there is as much differance between a radeon 7000 and a radeon ve as there is differance between radeon 9100 and 8500

Perhaps, but a Radeon "LE"(32MB of DDR btw)is not a Radeon "VE", and is superior to a radeon 7000/Ve in every way except dual head support.

i think the le is ddr. the le should be better then the 7000 for gaming.

The VE and LE models if I remember correctly don't have the Charisma engine so no T&L rendering by the GPU. I'm a sad user of a Radeon VE and it makes the biggest difference ever,i Hit 40 FPS on Tribes 1 designed to run on a Pentium 200mhz with my P4 1.7ghz just because my video card doesn't render T&L. And yes, I'm changing it at the end of this school semester

ti4200 is this much |--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------] better.

the le is a stock radeon with slightly lower clockspeed and hyper-z disabled in the bios. the ve is a neutered radeon...
