I'm a big fan of Samuel Adams Summer Ale.

I gotta say, I just picked up some of this (having never had it before), and it is spectacular.

i like it too... it's aftertaste has a hint of pepper.

Sam Adams Summer Ale, as already suggestion. And if you can find it the Samuel Adams Brew Master pack. 2 bottles of Honey Porter, 2 Bottles of Brown Ale & 2 Bottles Black Lagger. I found all 3 enjoyable, I think Sam also has a 12 pack with a bigger selection of brews. I really like the Honey Porter, the Brown Ale wasn't Newcastle good but it was tasty.

In So Cal Ralphs & Vons have a pretty outstanding selection of beers. I saw some of the Youngs Chocolate Double Stout, never tried it but have heard it's quite good. The new Ralphs up the street from me has a decent variety of micro brew & non Budwiser types.

I'm scared to try it, people have told me it has a Coffee'ish taste to it and I despise Coffee. I cannot stand Guinness, and that's really my only experience with a Stout. I guess I should buy 1 bottle and at least try it before I hate it ha.

off to pick up a bottle and see what it's like.

No coffee taste to it imho, just a remarkably clear chocolate finish to a fine, fine brew. Elixir of the gods, I say!

Also, nothing like Guiness.

If anyone's curious, I went with the Sam Adams Summer Ale. Decent price when compared to my other choices.

shit without much thought I am 8 deep now in mich ultra since 7:30 ish.

Drinking has become the new coffee crowd for coolness.

It makes me cry almost to see some guy walk bar to bar for his 'this is the only real beer' only to have 1 or 2 and have to head home because he needs to be up early.

Probably for the shit list of chores his wife/gf is giving him the next day.

May as well have bought a purse.

hard to believe that you're more obnoxious drunk than you are sober, but here we have it.

Not like you have ever met a sober man that wanted to do more than have his teeth cleaned by you.

I picked up some Ola Dubh 30 Year today. OMG, awesome beer. $15 for a 12oz is a bit steep, though. ;)

curiousity got the best of me and i picked up a sixer of the Miller Lite "Brewers collection" blonde ale. it's horrible. I love blonde and white ales...and this stuff is pretty bad. And i'll drink just about anything when it comes to beer.

So...don't bother with the blonde ale if any of you have been contemplating it.

Lite and "Brewers Collection" in the same name constitute an oxymoron, imho.
