I wanted to open an account with them, but their online password is your 4 digit pin. That scared me off. I might open a Chase account when they take over the B of NY retail chains. Also thinking about WaMu

Wells Fargo. And I'm switching soon to whatever USAA offers. Hell, I have an auto loan through USAA, our auto insurance policies, homeowners insurance and life insurance. No reason not to switch. Better service and lower fees FTW!!!

Wells Fargo sucks ass.

I use to use a regional bank in Illinois. They had branches all over the place and they were great!

After moving to Portland for a summer, I looked up Bank of America and saw they had branches in Santa Barbara where I would be going to school in the fall so I signed up with them. After moving to Santa Barbara, they tell me that they're the same bank but on different computer systems. They want me to close my Bank of America account in Portland and open a Bank of America account in Santa Barbara. I was irritated and closed the account in Portland and opened on at Wells Fargo instead.

Wells Fargo sucks, but they had ATMs around campus and in convenient locations. I stuck with them for four years and then transferred to Citibank when I moved to Los Angeles.

I like Citibank. They're friendly enough inside, they have international branches and ATMs, and the online banking is pretty good. They've recently made all the ATMs in 7Eleven stores Citibank ATMs, and that's pretty convenient for me as I live very close to one.

I don't forsee leaving Citibank, but I think I'd try Washinton Mutual next if I had to switch...
