"Dark Side of the Moon" is a good intro to the new Floyd fan. "The Wall" is great. "Animals" is probably my favorite. Their earlier stuff is awesome, but a little bit more "raw" and weird.

I'm suprised you said that. Most people I've met have never heard of him. >>
Leonard Cohen is one of the greatest lyricists of the 20th century. How can people not know about him? His singing voice might not be the best, but he's one of the few songwriters that can make me feel his sadness. Suzanne is a song that puts me in a deep melancholy whenever I listen to it.
Clearly, the answer is Metallica. Do yourself a favor and go listen to songs like Fade to Black, The Unforgiven, The Outlaw Torn, Fixxxer, Sanitarium, One, hell, anything you listen to will be fine. Except for I Disappear. Please don't listen to that.
